Thought Five: Interests

Based on my interests and hobbies, I am going to share where I receive many of my very limited knowledge about them haha. I want to emphasize that my knowledge is very surface level LOL.

Listen to this song as you read !! <3

I give many credits to my former supervisor in Korea.

  1. Architecture/Interior Design

    • archdaily.com

      • Very well curated. Easy to read descriptions and categories! You can make files and “like” different projects, design studios, etc.

    • dezeen.com

      • I prefer archdaily for archiving but this is a great news outlet!! They have “dezeen awards” which I think is a cool insight towards the current industry.

    • List of architectural studios (excludes many “classics”)

      • These are studios that I’ve talked about with my ex-boss :) My favorites are highlighted but I think it’s a good way to see what studios are currently on the rise/top. She thought that it is already easy enough to know about the already infamous design studios and wanted me to have an insight of the current industry. And so I share with you!!!

  2. Scent/Perfumes

    • Scentbar / luckyscent.com

      • This is where I get all of my perfumes. All the niche perfumes are here Dx. The website name is different with the store in LA but they are the same store! I highly discourage buying perfume online. Do not settle for perfumes that don’t give you an overwhelming sensation (like men or whatever you’re into). There is always a scent out there that can give you that. Remember, your sense of smell is very instinctual, and the emotions that it can bring you will most likely be very hard to explain in words (just good af I guess). Anyways, ScentBar has a offline location in Hollywood and DTLA. If you are not sure about your taste or if you already have a scent you like and need recommendations, please take me I will help you find a life long partner lol. Buy me coffee or something. All jokes aside, Scentbar employees are extremely passionate and good at their job. Stay honest, expressive, and curious and I’m sure they’ll be there to help you.

      • My personal philosophy is that I never have more than a few perfumes at the same time. Perfumes do change over time. It is best to use them while they can provide you the most accurate sensual experience. Instead of using 10 different perfumes, find one or two signature scents. You do not need to buy the biggest bottle. If you are up to trying out different perfumes, buy smaller sizes like 50ml and use them seasonally. Smelling the perfumes that you used to use is a different level of nostalgia. Trust me. If you are not yet in the habit of using perfumes, buy a small perfume pod and carry them with you. I have too much to say but this is it for now! Message me if you want to talk.

    • fragrantica

      • Good web-source to search up ingredients and notes for the perfume. If you have a couple of perfumes that you enjoy, this site is a good way to solidify your taste into actual categories of notes/ingredients. Look for overlaps between your perfumes.

  3. Flowers

This is it for now! It got longer than I thought and I decided this was a good start to introduce my friends into what I am passionate about. Stay curious as fuck!!! Love you all.
